What the states mean

Online — the host daemon is reachable and the model server is answering. Requests will be served.

Degraded — the daemon is reachable but cannot generate, usually because the model server is restarting. The tunnel is fine; requests are refused quickly rather than hanging.

Unreachable — the tunnel to the hardware is down. Recovery is automatic and nobody is being paged.
